Mitella stauropetala - Smallflower Miterwort, Side-flowered miterwort. Smallflower Miterwort is found in 7 northwestern states (CO, ID, MT, OR, UT, WA, WY.) It has basal leaves with unique white blossoms in a raceme thinly populating one side of a stalk that may rise to 30 inches high.

The blossom has 5 petal-like sepals, with the petals being very narrow with three lobes. The flowers are secund – all aligning along the same side of the stem – although the pedicels seem to alternate from side to side of the stem.
