Blepharipappus scaber - Rough Eyelashweed, Blepharipappus, Rough Blepharipappus . Blepharipappus scaber is the only species in the genus. The plant grows from 4 to 12 inches tall and is found in dry, open areas in five western states. This specimen was along a hillside at about 3,500' - 4000' in the Boise Foothills.

May have purple lines in the 2 to 7 3-lobed ray flowers. The 3 to 15 disk flowers containing the purple anthers are also white.

Eyelashweed has thin fuzzy stems with linear, alternate leaves which along the upper stem may be almost apressed.
