Scientific name is Campanulatstrum americanum, and may be more commonly known by the synonym Campanula americana. This plant also is known by the common name American Bellflower. Photo below was taken near Waynesville, NC, on 07/12/2010.

Southern Harebell – Campanula divaricata – Added to USWildflowers Database
Posted on July 28th, 2010 No commentsSouthern Harebell, a native species, has been added to the USWildflowers database (07/28/2010.) Scientific name is Campanula divaricata. This plant also is known by the common names Small Bonny Bellflower, Southern Bellflower, and Southern Bluebell. Photo below was taken along the Blue Ridge Parkway near the Pisgah Inn, on 07/12/2010.
