Chokecherry – Prunus virginiana – Added to USWildflowers Database
Posted on July 24th, 2010 No commentsChokecherry, a native species, has been added to the USWildflowers database (07/24/2010.) Scientific name is Prunus virginiana. Depending on the variety, this plant also is known by the common names Common Chokecherry, Western Chokecherry, and Black Chokecherry. Photo below was taken in the Boise National Forest near Boise, ID, on 06/15/2010.
