Viola hastata - Halberdleaf Yellow Violet, Halberd Leaf Yellow Violet. The leaves of Halberleaf Yellow Violet are more or less arrowhead shaped, similar to that of a the working end of a halberd.

Viola hastata is one of the caulescent (leaves on the flowering stem) violets. The leaves have cordate or hastate bases, and are normally variegated. The yellow blossoms have purplish nectar lines and are bearded on the lateral lobes.
